1. You answer a short questionnaire

Each FindMyIdeal tool has a focused set of questions — usually 5–10. We ask only what matters: your specific requirements, preferences, and budget. There is no account to create and no email address required.

2. Our engine scores every product against your answers

We maintain a hand-curated database of real, available products for each category. Your answers are run through a scoring algorithm that evaluates every product against every one of your answers.

Some criteria are treated as hard requirements — products that do not meet them (such as a budget limit) are filtered out entirely. Other criteria are scored on a sliding scale depending on how well the product fits your stated preference.

3. You get your personalised top picks — free and instantly

We show you the highest-scoring products in ranked order, with a brief explanation of why each one matches your needs. You can click through to a retailer to check current prices and availability.

How we select products

Products are added to our database by hand. We look at:

• Real availability in your region (UK and US)
• Verified prices and accurate retailer links
• Genuine suitability across the range of user needs we cover
• Sufficient customer feedback to be confident in the product

We update listings when we become aware of price changes, discontinued products, or availability issues. If you spot an error, please contact us.

How scoring works

Our scoring engine assigns points based on your questionnaire answers. The full logic is specific to each product category. No product pays to be included or to rank higher. No product is excluded because of a commercial relationship — or lack of one.

Limitations

We cover a curated selection of products, not every product on the market. Our recommendations are based on the information you provide — changing your answers may change your results. Prices and availability are set by retailers and may change without notice. Always verify with the retailer before purchasing.
